    Brief

Steeton with Eastburn Parish Council seeks fixed-price quotations to reconstruct and resurface a 152-metre perimeter walkway around Steeton Crown Green Bowling Green. The project aims to create a safe, accessible, and durable pedestrian route for bowlers, officials, spectators, and the wider community. Project Scope: • Remove defective tarmac, edging, and unsuitable foundation material • Reconstruct approximately 142.5 metres of concrete perimeter edging with steel reinforcement and stabilising pins • Incorporate 9.5 metres of previously reconstructed sections • Create proper levels and drainage to prevent pooling and protect the green • Ensure smooth connections to existing surfaces and access points • Dispose of all spoil and waste lawfully • Leave the site clean, safe, and ready for use The walkway spans approximately 215 square metres with existing widths varying from 1.26 to 1.85 metres. The finished surface must be firm, even, durable, and accessible to all users. Tenderers are responsible for verifying all measurements, levels, quantities, and site conditions. A site inspection is strongly recommended. Limited car park space may be available for plant, skips, and material storage by prior agreement. Funding is subject to grant approval and council confirmation of available funds.
