Linen and Laundry Services for NHS Trusts in Lancashire and South Cumbria

The NHS Contracting Authorities are seeking qualified suppliers to deliver comprehensive linen and laundry services across acute, community, and specialist healthcare facilities in Lancashire and South Cumbria. Services include supply, laundering, decontamination, stock management, logistics, and distribution of healthcare linen in compliance with HTM 01-04 standards and infection prevention and control requirements. The procurement is divided into multiple Lots to accommodate flexible service delivery models: Trust-Managed (client operates services), Fully Managed (supplier operates all services), and Supply Only (supplier provides linen only). Suppliers will support multiple NHS Trusts and individual sites with the ability to implement different models at each location. Key responsibilities include maintaining safe and reliable services, ensuring agreed stock levels, supporting business continuity, providing performance reporting and governance, and contributing to sustainability and net zero objectives. Services must guarantee continuity of supply to critical healthcare environments including acute hospitals, maternity units, emergency departments, operating theatres, and community settings.
