    Brief

NPL seeks suppliers to provide a dry (cryogen-free) pulse tube cooled dilution refrigerator system for characterizing quantum and RF hardware. The system must achieve a base temperature of ≤10 mK with access to PT2 and intermediate stages, and feature a mixing chamber plate area of at least 0.19 m² in horizontal space to accommodate vertical experimental apparatus. The system should include 20+ coaxial lines (expandable) operating up to 40 GHz, with high-attenuation input lines for sensitive quantum devices like superconducting qubits and parametric amplifiers, and low-loss output lines for low-noise amplifiers and isolators. Multiple reconfigurable DC lines must enable biasing of at least tens of RF multi-way switches, four low-noise amplifiers, and several dedicated high and low resistance DC looms for devices under test. The system must include integrated thermometry and readout electronics with provision for future temperature sensor integration. Rapid repeated cooldowns (typically every 2 weeks) with high throughput are required to complement NPL's existing measurement capabilities. No magnet is required.
