Cleator Moor Community Hub and Town Square Regeneration Project

This project involves the construction of a new Community Hub annexe adjacent to the existing Library and Council offices on Cleator Moor Town Square, featuring a café/restaurant with commercial kitchen facilities. The existing Library and Council offices will undergo comprehensive renovation with reconfigured office space, new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and a new lift serving all three floors. The project also includes extensive public realm improvements to the Town Square comprising new hard and soft landscaping, street furniture, cycle racks, electric vehicle charging points, bin storage enclosures, a new bus shelter, external ramps and stairs, and new footway lighting. Additional works include installation of CCTV (subject to agreement with Cumbria Police), renovation of the public fountain (subject to affordability and Council agreement), relocation of artworks and memorials, and refurbishment of the external clock. The entire project site must be fully secured while maintaining public access to perimeter pavements, the bus shelter, and Town Council Offices.
