Assisted Lifeguard Technology System for Public Swimming Pools

Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking to procure a complete Assisted Lifeguard Technology (ALT) system to enhance drowning prevention and improve safety supervision across its leisure facilities. The system must provide automated drowning detection, real-time alerting to lifeguards, behavioural anomaly detection, and continuous monitoring of all water areas. Key Requirements: Detection must occur within 10 seconds with high accuracy and minimal false alarms, maintain 99% or greater uptime, and operate reliably in humid indoor aquatic environments. The solution must cover all council-managed pools including main public swimming pools, training pools, and other water-based activity areas. Suppliers must provide detailed equipment layouts, coverage maps, and strategies to eliminate blind spots. The contract value is capped at £140,000.00 excluding VAT.
