Hawley Green Junior Play Area - Design, Supply and Installation

Blackwater & Hawley Town Council is seeking tenders for the complete design, supply, installation and commissioning of a new junior play area at Hawley Green, Fernhill Road, GU17 9BW. The play area is intended for children aged 7-12 years and should include a range of equipment such as multi-play units, climbing activities, slides, swings, and other play features, with compliant safety surfacing and full groundworks. Key requirements include: equipment must use muted, natural colours suitable for a Conservation Area setting; timber/wood-composite equipment is not permitted; maximum equipment height is 4.0 metres; the layout must allow for future expansion; and no perimeter fencing is included in Phase 1. The contractor must deliver a complete, operational installation within a maximum budget of £75,000 (exclusive of VAT), comprising £50,000 external grant funding and £25,000 Council contribution. The Council welcomes applications from qualified small and medium-sized enterprises and specialist playground contractors. Contract award is conditional on securing external grant funding, Council approval, and completion of all due diligence procedures.
