    Brief

This project develops and implements a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to assess how three Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes—Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier (CSHT), and Landscape Recovery (LR)—help landowners and farmers adapt to climate-related hazards including flooding, drought, wildfire, extreme heat, storms, and coastal erosion. The two-year project has two distinct phases: Phase 1: Framework Development - Create practical monitoring indicators and a clear evaluation plan that can be applied to future projects, building on previous research and best practices. Phase 2: Implementation and Analysis - Apply the framework by conducting desk-based analysis of historical and current ELM scheme uptake data to identify recent trends, establish baseline measurements, and enable future performance comparisons. This opportunity is ideal for organizations with expertise in environmental monitoring, agricultural schemes, climate adaptation assessment, and data analysis who can deliver clear, actionable evaluation tools for stakeholders.
