Integrated Carers Support and Prevention Service - Supplier Pre-Market Engagement

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is inviting potential suppliers to participate in a pre-market engagement exercise for a planned Integrated Carers Support and Prevention Service procurement. This exercise aims to understand market capacity and gather supplier feedback to inform service design. The proposed service model will integrate: unpaid carer support, Barnsley Carers Grant administration, low-level prevention services for adults, and early intervention and community-based support to reduce loneliness, social isolation, and escalation of need. Interested suppliers are invited to attend a mandatory supplier presentation briefing session on 9th September 2026, 9:30am (face-to-face, lasting approximately 3 hours) where the Council will explain procurement requirements and facilitate discussions on service shaping. A maximum of two representatives per organisation may attend. To confirm attendance, suppliers must return Appendix 1 of the Pre-Market Engagement document by 12 noon on 1st September 2026. Please note: contract value and duration will be confirmed and published with the formal tender documentation.
