Atrium Glazing Replacement and Remedial Works

Uttlesford District Council seeks a qualified principal contractor or glazing specialist to design, supply, install, and warrant remedial works to the glazed atrium at its London Road offices. The atrium connects a Grade II listed building with an adjacent office block above the main entrance. Work must be completed while maintaining building operations. The core tender covers removal and replacement of 32 defective glazing units on the front elevation, including associated access, safety measures, cleaning, sealing, weatherproofing, and reporting. Contractors may also submit separate pricing for three optional packages: (1) annual planned preventative maintenance visits with inspection and torque testing; (2) wider glazing replacement of 67 units; and (3) comprehensive glazing replacement of 131 units with specialized access equipment including crane and MEWP services.
