    Brief

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority seeks qualified consultants to identify and prioritise nature-based solutions for improving water quality in the lower Western Cleddau catchment. The project will use a transparent, weighted multi-criteria assessment to evaluate water quality benefits, pollution source-to-receptor pathways, hydrological connectivity, intervention potential, and implementation feasibility. Key deliverables include: GIS analysis mapping pollution sources and priority reaches; stakeholder and landowner engagement to support fieldwork and future implementation; targeted field walkovers to validate and refine desk-based findings; and a comprehensive GIS database, mapbook, narrative report with case studies, and prioritisation framework. The assessment will distinguish between strategic priorities and immediately actionable opportunities, and briefly examine how future nutrient credit schemes might influence adoption of recommended interventions. Budget: £38,000 excluding VAT, funded by Esteé Lauder Companies UK & Ireland through the UK National Parks Foundation.
