Waste Collection and Street Cleansing Services for Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a single provider to deliver integrated waste collection and street cleansing services across the county. The service handles approximately 627,000 waste collections weekly across 245,200 properties. The contractor will be responsible for: household waste collections (residual, recycling, garden and food waste), clinical waste and sharps collections, bulky waste collections, commercial waste collections, street cleansing, waste transfer station operations, workshop services, and materials management. The contract includes a service change option allowing for a harmonised twin-stream recycling model. The council will provide capital funding for new vehicles and will lease operational sites to the contractor. Contractors must be experienced in delivering safe, resilient, efficient, and high-quality services at scale while meeting environmental performance standards, customer satisfaction targets, and operational effectiveness requirements.
