    Brief

    The SAFE (Support, Attend, Fulfil, Exceed) Birmingham Taskforce is seeking mentoring service providers to deliver early intervention programmes in mainstream secondary schools, addressing serious youth violence prevention. This is a schools-led initiative aligned with the Working Together to Improve School Attendance guidance and delivered in partnership with schools, academy trusts, governing bodies, and local authorities. Contractors will be required to: - Provide mentoring services to 36 secondary schools - Support a minimum of 620 young people through referral - Deliver weekly mentoring during school terms for a minimum of 6 months per referral (covering two school terms) - Provide complementary afterschool and holiday activity programmes The programme aims to improve socio-emotional regulation and wellbeing, reduce behavioural issues, improve school attendance, and reduce vulnerability to serious violence among young people. Expected outcomes include measurable improvements in student behaviour, socio-emotional wellbeing, and school attendance stabilisation across participating schools.
