Brief

The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) is sought to deliver comprehensive bat conservation services including: annual bat species action plan reporting and implementation of priority conservation actions; conducting required monitoring and surveillance activities in alignment with the Environmental Improvement Plan and Environment Act targets; coordinating the annual UK Bat Steering Group meetings; and contributing survey results to the National Biodiversity Network. This work supports the National Bat Monitoring Programme (NBMP), which is essential for gathering species data to meet Habitats Directive reporting requirements (Habs Regs 9a) and fulfill legal biodiversity obligations.
