    Brief

    Warwickshire Police is seeking a qualified supplier to provide secure boarding, care and associated services for seized, dangerous and evidential animals. The service covers dogs (including prohibited breeds and XL Bullies seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991) and occasionally cats. The supplier must deliver a safe, humane and lawful service supporting police operations, criminal investigations and animal welfare responsibilities. Required services include: secure kennelling, 24-hour care and welfare monitoring, feeding and exercise, grooming, routine medication administration, veterinary examinations and treatments, vaccination programmes, behavioural assessments, emergency veterinary response, animal collection and transportation, 24-hour emergency incident response, euthanasia arrangements where authorised, and comprehensive record management and reporting. The successful supplier must demonstrate extensive experience handling dangerous and vulnerable animals in highly regulated environments, with proven capability in secure boarding, transportation, veterinary coordination and emergency response. All relevant licences, registrations, insurance and security controls are required. Key personnel must obtain Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 2 or above. The service must operate 24 hours daily, 365/366 days per year across Warwickshire with guaranteed emergency response times. The contract is a single integrated service (not divided into lots) to maintain operational effectiveness and animal welfare standards. Contract term: 3 years with optional extension for up to 2 further years. Estimated value: £1.4m excluding VAT over the full potential 5-year term. Apply via the Warwickshire Police In-tend portal.
