Service Requirements: The laundry service is critical for custody suite operations, handling specialized items including custody blankets, high-visibility anti-rip clothing, towels, uniforms, and other textiles 24/7. Service delivery is required Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per annum, including adjustments for bank holidays. Quality and Compliance Standards: Contractors must maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and comply with HSE biosafety decontamination guidance and PACE Code custody regulations. All work must meet strict health, safety, and welfare standards for police officers, detainees, and laundry operatives. Capability Required: Successful suppliers must have suitable transport for collection and delivery of laundry throughout Derbyshire, capability to handle both machine-washable and dry-clean items, and capacity to manage both routine and ad hoc requirements.
