    Brief

Hampshire County Council is seeking a training provider to deliver Positive Behaviour Support training to staff across its children's residential homes. The service covers ten homes within Hampshire boundaries: nine open residential homes providing 33 placements for children aged 6-17 years, and one Secure Children's Home caring for up to 10 children aged 10-17 whose assessed risks require higher levels of supervision and control. The Secure Home is Ofsted registered and approved to restrict liberty under the Children Act 1989. The provider must adopt a trauma-informed approach, ensuring any physical interventions are applied safely, proportionately, and only as a last resort, tailored to individual children's needs. The successful provider will deliver training to approximately 230 existing staff, provide induction training for new recruits throughout the contract period, and deliver refresher training as required. Homes are geographically distributed across north, central, and south Hampshire.
