Reedbed Refurbishment Services Framework Agreement

Severn Trent Water Limited is establishing a multi-supplier framework agreement to refurbish reedbed treatment assets across its wastewater portfolio. The framework will support both planned and reactive refurbishment works to restore treatment performance, extend asset life, and meet environmental and regulatory objectives. Scope of Services: Suppliers will deliver reedbed refurbishment works including desludging, media replacement, and replanting, along with associated civil, mechanical, and hydraulic works. Services may also include site-specific technical assessments, adaptation of standardised designs to site conditions, and optional maintenance and performance optimisation. Scale and Opportunity: Approximately 60 reedbeds require refurbishment within the first two years, with a wider asset base of approximately 700 reedbeds across the portfolio. This pre-market engagement seeks to understand supplier capability and market appetite before finalising the procurement strategy. Key Requirements: Suppliers should demonstrate capability to deliver efficient, repeatable solutions across multiple sites while adapting standardised designs to suit specific conditions. Framework scope and structure may be refined based on market feedback. Call-off contracts will be awarded via direct award and/or mini-competition.
