National Highways seeks continued specialist support to maintain compliance with Home Office Type Approval (HOTA) and ISO/IEC 17025 standards for road traffic enforcement technology. This work order covers expert technical advice, governance, risk management, and project support for enforcement systems including speed cameras and traffic enforcement equipment across the Strategic Road Network. The supplier will provide specialist expertise not available internally, enabling National Highways to respond to emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and operational challenges. The contract includes robust oversight mechanisms such as contract management, audit trails, conflict of interest controls, and subcontractor supervision to ensure legal compliance, operational safety, and value for money. Support is required through March 2027 to prevent non-compliance risks, deployment delays, and potential challenges to enforcement activity validity.
