Mental Health Crisis Beds Service Extension - Cheshire East

ECHC has provided Mental Health Crisis Beds services across the East Cheshire area since 31st March 2024, funded by the Integrated Care Board (ICB). This opportunity involves extending the current contract with the existing provider to maintain continuity of patient care whilst a full tender process is conducted. The current provider is meeting all contractual obligations and performance outcomes, has established effective relationships with key stakeholders including the Trust's First Response teams, Home Treatment Team, and Crisis Line, and maintains strong collaborative links with other mental health service providers. Contract extension is recommended to ensure no service disruption during the forthcoming procurement exercise planned within the current financial year. Prospective suppliers should be prepared to demonstrate capability in delivering crisis mental health bed services, stakeholder engagement, and seamless integration with existing mental health referral pathways.
