    Brief

    Cambridgeshire County Council seeks qualified training providers to deliver Bikeability cycle training to primary school children (Year 6 focus) for the 2026-2029 period. This contract continues an established programme that has trained approximately 6,000 pupils annually since 2007, with around 80% participation among eligible students. Key Programme Objectives: - Deliver Level 1, Learn to Ride, and Level 2 Bikeability courses with emphasis on achieving Level 2 completion by end of primary school - Improve road safety and promote responsible cycling behaviour - Support child health, wellbeing, and active travel - Increase participation among under-represented groups - Encourage school engagement in the Bikeability programme The training supports the Council's strategic priorities: enabling healthy, active lives; ensuring fairness and opportunity for young people; and supporting a green, sustainable county. Prospective bidders should note: this procurement is being conducted to fulfil existing grant award obligations for 2026-2029. The Council reserves the right to abandon this procurement and is not obligated to award a contract. Applicants are responsible for all costs related to bid preparation and submission.
