Main Contractor for Newtownbutler Peace Plus Development

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is seeking a qualified Main Contractor to redevelop a former Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) site at 48 High Street, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh into a new community and retail facility. The project involves demolishing existing structures, removing concrete slabs, and constructing a new approximately 650 square meter building featuring 4 retail units, a studio, and a community gymnasium. The building will be BREEAM rated Excellent with sustainable features integrated throughout construction and completion. Works include mechanical and electrical installations, internal fitout, site landscaping, utility connections (water, power, sewerage), and Principal Contractor responsibilities. The contractor must ensure compliance with all statutory regulations. This Peace Plus funded project is managed through the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), a North South Body responsible for EU funding in Northern Ireland and border Irish counties. The development aims to create an iconic, transformative space that facilitates meaningful contact between different communities.
