    Brief

Dublin City Council is procuring site investigation services for the Dublin District Heating Project (DDHP), an infrastructure initiative to distribute waste heat from the Dublin Waste to Energy facility at Poolbeg to homes, businesses, and civic buildings across Poolbeg, Ringsend, and Docklands. The project will install approximately 6.6km of underground, insulated district heating pipes. Site investigations are needed to assess ground conditions along the proposed pipeline route to support detailed design. The work is divided into two phases: Phase 1 covers approximately 1km in the Poolbeg area (15 boreholes, 4 slit trenches, 4 trial pits); Phase 2 covers approximately 5.6km from Seán Moore Road through Ringsend to Spencer Dock in North Docklands (12 boreholes, 22 slit trenches, 4 trial pits). Contractors should have expertise in geotechnical investigations, borehole drilling, and ground condition assessment. Further documentation is available on www.etenders.gov.ie. This project is subject to funding approval.
