Army Fire Control Systems In-Service Support Contract

The UK Army seeks comprehensive in-service support for its fire control systems (FC BISA, FCA, and BPD) through 2035. The contract covers Contractor Logistic Support, software maintenance and updates, hardware engineering support, and integrated logistics including helpdesk services, obsolescence management, configuration control, and technical documentation. Additional services include safety management, security compliance, quality assurance, training support, and post-design engineering services. The contract is valued at £42.7 million (excluding VAT) and will be awarded directly to CGI IT UK Ltd, the incumbent developer, through an Invitation to Negotiate process. The initial contract runs for four years with four optional one-year extensions. Key elements include intellectual property rights protection, performance incentives, government-furnished asset provision, and formal contract management to ensure effective delivery, system safety, operational continuity, and alignment with evolving military requirements.
