Emergency Support Workers for Wrexham Council Social Care Services

Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) is seeking experienced staffing agencies to supply emergency support workers for Adult Social Care and Children and Family Services. This framework agreement enables rapid deployment of qualified, vetted staff to respond to urgent service needs at short notice (potentially less than 24 hours), including outside standard working hours. Staff must be trained in safeguarding, compliant with regulatory standards, and capable of working across multiple service areas. The framework covers: Emergency Duty Team provision (out-of-hours urgent cover for adults and children); Children and Young People's Services (daytime and emergency social care, child protection, family intervention); Adult Social Care Services (safeguarding, hospital discharge, crisis support); Residential and Supported Living Settings (24/7 emergency staffing); and Family and Community Support Services (in-home and community-based practical and emotional support). Appointed providers must demonstrate the ability to supply appropriately skilled staff to meet essential service delivery needs while maintaining full compliance with safeguarding duties, employment legislation, and professional standards. Staff may be required to work both within and outside Wrexham County Borough where this supports statutory duties or continuity of care.
