    Brief

Tyndall National Institute at University College Cork seeks a fully integrated Precision Ferroelectric and Piezoelectric Analysis Platform for advanced materials characterization. The platform must comprise seven subsystems: (1) Measurement Core with high-resolution data acquisition, (2) Optical Metrology for precise dimensional and property measurements, (3) Thermal Modules for temperature-controlled testing, (4) High Voltage (HV) Subsystem for electrical characterization, (5) Fixturing and Probing for sample manipulation, (6) Workstation for system control and analysis, and (7) Infrastructure for equipment integration. The system must perform comprehensive ferroelectric and piezoelectric characterization of diverse materials including bulk ceramics, ultrathin films, and full wafers across a broad temperature range with high resolution. This unified platform will support fundamental research and industrial benchmarking of advanced ferroic and piezoelectric materials throughout their development lifecycle—from initial thin film growth and bulk ceramic synthesis through full wafer-level device integration and reliability testing. The platform will enable development of next-generation sensors, actuators, photonic systems, non-volatile memories, and beyond-CMOS computing architectures, with particular emphasis on multiferroic materials that combine electric and magnetic properties for ultra-low power applications.
