    Brief

Transport for Wales Rail Ltd is seeking a contractor to design, supply, install, test and commission a new carriage wash machine at its Chester Train Maintenance Depot on Reception Road. This project will replace the existing non-operational wash machine and all associated infrastructure. Key Requirements: - Work must comply with Network Rail standards and applicable legal requirements - Installation will occur within an active operational depot environment - Contractors must provide delivery timescales, utility consumption data and water recycling performance specifications - Existing carriage wash equipment should be reused where feasible to reduce costs Optional Scope: Suppliers may provide a separate price for removing existing equipment from the wash plant building and preparing it for immediate use as a manual exterior train washing facility. Transport for Wales will consider this option only if cost savings allow the overall project to remain within budget. This is a significant infrastructure upgrade requiring experience in railway depot operations and equipment installation.
