    Brief

Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 July to 31 December 2026. During this six-month period, Ireland will host an extensive programme of meetings, events, and conferences including official-level meetings and senior political-level gatherings. A host broadcaster is required to provide television and radio broadcast transmission services for major meetings and events during the Presidency. The successful supplier will deliver satellite streams and TV recordings of major meetings to accredited television stations across all EU Member States, and provide an 'on order' service offering additional content to other television stations. The host broadcaster will be responsible for ensuring media coverage reaches audiences throughout Europe and managing the technical infrastructure required for international broadcast distribution.
