    Brief

The Mining Remediation Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to resurface deteriorated pedestrian footpaths at its head office site. The existing concrete paving slabs have become uneven, damaged, and broken, presenting health and safety hazards to employees and visitors. The preferred solution involves complete removal of the old paving and installation of new tarmac to create a level, durable surface that addresses underlying base issues that would cause re-paving to fail prematurely. The successful supplier will be responsible for: establishing a safe working area with appropriate signage and barriers; removing and disposing of existing concrete paving; excavating to the required depth; preparing and compacting a Type 1 sub-base; installing timber or PCC edging as needed; laying 60mm AC10 base course and 25mm asphalt topping; installing tactile paving at crossing points; installing one new gully pot; and removing all waste to leave work areas clean and safe. This project requires careful coordination to maintain pedestrian safety during construction.
