    Brief

The Transport Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration (TICR) project, delivered by London South Bank University, is seeking to extend its work on decarbonisation pathways for the cooling sector. This contract extension will investigate additional climate scenarios and new sectors to support the Cooling Outlook initiative. Key deliverables include: Updated climate and uptake scenario analysis for six existing sectors (data centres, retail and commercial food service, industrial/food/drink/chemical/pharmaceutical, and transport refrigeration) covering 2°C and 4°C global warming scenarios. New sector models for air conditioning and domestic refrigeration (not in the original scope), including domestic AC, commercial AC, and mobile air conditioning, with baseline data from the CSN0W project. Development of emissions and energy reduction assumptions across all sectors in collaboration with policy teams, translating policies into numerical projections for future emissions and energy consumption. The majority of analysis must be completed within two months (by mid-July 2026), with a proposed 9-month contract duration to allow for quality assurance and stakeholder engagement. This is a retrospective direct award for work already underway. Interested organisations should have expertise in refrigeration and air conditioning decarbonisation analysis, climate scenario modelling, and policy analysis.
