Highway Maintenance and Civil Improvement Works Term Contracts

This procurement offers two separate contract lots for highway and infrastructure services: Lot 1 - Highways Maintenance Works (HMW): Provides reactive and planned maintenance services including pothole and footway repairs, emergency callout services available 24/7/365, resurfacing and repaving, winter maintenance, drainage and gully cleaning, and signage and lining work. Contractors must act as Principal Contractor under CDM Regulations 2015. Lot 2 - Highway and Civil Improvements (HCI): Delivers engineering and improvement projects including traffic calming and management, cycle and walking facilities, planning-related works (section 38/278, section 106, CIL-funded schemes), parking zone implementation, structural and civil engineering, utilities and drainage works, and housing/school/park infrastructure. Contractors must act as Principal Contractor under CDM Regulations 2015. Both lots require contractors to manage health and safety, coordinate works, and comply with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
