Neurodiversity Toolkit Implementation for Criminal Justice Services in Merseyside

This funding opportunity supports the continuation and embedding of a Neurodiversity Toolkit designed for Criminal Justice Services across Merseyside. The project focuses on 2026/27 system-wide implementation and scaling of neurodiversity-inclusive, trauma-informed practices across custody, courts, prisons, probation, and community services. Key deliverables include: workforce training programs, development of Neurodiversity Champions, resource dissemination, delivery of the NEST Workshop at HMP Liverpool, multi-agency coordination, and independent evaluation in partnership with LJMU. The initiative benefits neurodivergent individuals, their families, and professionals by embedding evidence-based practices throughout the criminal justice system. Suppliers should have expertise in neurodiversity training, criminal justice systems, co-production with lived-experience participants, and organizational change management.
