Construction Industry Mentoring Programme for Young People at Risk of Violence

This is a contract opportunity to deliver a construction-focused training and mentoring service for young people aged 16-18 across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight who are involved in or at high risk of serious youth violence. The service will provide structured, trauma-informed training combining practical construction skills, accredited qualifications, and consistent mentoring support. Young people will receive wraparound support addressing barriers to employment, including personal circumstances that may affect their ability to maintain positive outcomes and stay crime-free. The programme targets the highest-risk young people identified through police data and partner intelligence. Working closely with Youth Justice Services, police and community partners, the service will manage risk, support safe participation, and contribute to local violence prevention priorities. Successful providers must have expertise in engaging high-risk youth, building trust with vulnerable individuals, managing safeguarding concerns, and delivering outcomes that lead to sustainable employment or further training in the construction sector.
