    Brief

Birmingham City Council is looking for an organization to conduct an ethnographic research study as part of the Air Quality Health Needs Assessment (AQHNA). The research will examine how residents experience air pollution in their daily lives, such as during commutes or when managing health conditions. The findings will provide evidence to support recommendations for reducing air pollution and its impact on health inequalities in Birmingham. The study supports the Council's legal responsibility for environmental health and public health protection. It will produce case studies, qualitative research findings, and actionable recommendations to better understand air pollution's effects on the community. Contract details: The work is expected to start on 1 May 2026 and will run for approximately 2 months.
