Emergency Support Team for Children and Young People with Learning Disabilities and Autism

The Learning Disabilities and Autism (LDA) Emergency Response Team (ERT) provides crisis intervention and intensive support to children and young people with diagnosed learning disabilities and/or autism across the Black Country region (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton). The service delivers short-term, specialist support during periods of crisis or elevated risk, focusing on stabilizing situations, preventing mental health deterioration, and managing challenging behaviors. Through rapid intervention, the ERT aims to reduce the need for restrictive measures, prevent placement breakdowns, and avoid hospital admissions. This is a support service opportunity for organizations with expertise in mental health crisis response, behavioral intervention, and specialized care for neurodivergent children and young people.
