    Brief

Powys Council is establishing an open Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for domiciliary care services across the Powys region. The system will operate for an initial 10-year period with an option to extend for a further 5 years, subject to bi-annual reviews. The DPS remains continuously open, allowing new providers to apply at any time by completing the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. All providers must be registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to deliver domiciliary support services. The opportunity is divided into three lots covering North and South Powys: Lot 1 (Town areas), Lot 2 (Rural areas), and Lot 3 (Remote Rural areas), each providing domiciliary care services including specialist support for people with dementia. This award notice applies to any contracts awarded under the DPS from May 2026 onwards.
