Ireland – National Risk Assessment for Forest Biomass under RED III

SEAI is seeking a service provider to develop Ireland's first National Risk Assessment (NRA) for forest biomass under the Renewable Energy Directive III (RED III). The NRA will establish a national-level, risk-based framework to demonstrate compliance with EU sustainability criteria, reduce certification costs, and support Ireland's climate and energy targets. The project comprises four Work Packages, with Work Package 4 containing optional services at SEAI's discretion. The selected contractor will work with SEAI to deliver a comprehensive assessment that enables Ireland to meet EU sustainability standards for forest biomass used in renewable energy production.
