Development Partner Required for Mixed-Use Hexham Middle School Regeneration

Northumberland County Council is seeking a development partner to regenerate the former Hexham Middle School site in Hexham, Northumberland into a mixed-use residential development. The successful partner will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive scheme that includes an affordable extra care housing facility for older people, residential housing units with an affordable housing component, refurbishment and sympathetic reuse of the listed heritage buildings and curtilage listed structures, demolition of non-listed buildings, creation of a community garden, and ongoing management and maintenance of the completed site. This is a significant opportunity to deliver sustainable housing and community facilities while preserving important heritage assets in the town.
