Supported Bus Service 26 - Paignton Local Routes 2026

Torbay Council is seeking a new operator for Supported Bus Service 26 (formerly Service 60), following the existing operator's notice of termination from the 2024 Non-Commercial Bus Services contract. This service is essential for maintaining community connectivity to key facilities and services in the Paignton area. The council aims to enhance the current network by increasing service frequency, extending operating hours (including earlier, later, and weekend services), and deploying modern, low-floor, zero or low-emission vehicles. Service 26 will overlap with a new Service 27 (connecting Paignton town centre to schools in Torquay and Torbay Hospital), with potential overlap areas including Shorton Valley and Preston Down Road. This opportunity aligns with Torbay Council's Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) and supports the development of an Enhanced Bus Partnership between Torbay Council and Devon County Council.
