    Brief

This construction project upgrades water infrastructure in the Townawilly area of Ireland to improve water quality and regulatory compliance. The main work involves building an interconnector water main to connect the Townawilly Group Water Scheme to the Public Water Supply Scheme (PWSS) operated by Uisce Éireann (UÉ). Upon connection, the existing Townawilly Group Water Scheme Water Treatment Plant will be decommissioned. The project also includes significant upgrades to UÉ infrastructure: construction of new watermain connections, installation of a new booster pump station at the Glencoagh Storage Reservoir to serve both the Glencoagh and Eddrim Glebe networks, and upgrades to the Eddrim Glebe pump station with new pumps and revised pumping arrangements. Suppliers should note that this is a comprehensive water infrastructure modernization contract combining main interconnector construction with multiple pump station installations and upgrades. The work requires expertise in water mains construction, pump station installation, and coordination with existing public water supply systems.
