    Brief

    This is a Design and Build works contract for the improvement and development of the Portballintrae Coastal Path, a scenic route linking Portballintrae to the Giant's Causeway on Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast. The successful contractor will be responsible for complete design and construction services, including: installation of a trailhead information hub at the main car park; upgrading furniture and fencing in the lower car park area; repairs to the Three-Quarter Bridge; replacement of the raised boardwalk along the River Bush; repairs to existing boardwalk paths; installation of waymarking and seating along the route; and provision of visitor monitoring equipment at two locations. The project is PEACEPLUS-funded and located within an area of significant natural and cultural heritage. The contractor must deliver designs that comply with all architectural and civil/structural performance specifications, obtain all necessary statutory approvals (including associated fees), and fulfill environmental obligations outlined in Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA) and assent conditions. Applicants must demonstrate previous experience delivering works contracts of similar scale and scope. All work must be completed in accordance with detailed specifications, works information, drawings, and schedules provided.
