This advanced training program is designed for Environment Agency staff with foundational water resources planning experience. Target participants include Water Resources Planning Officers (E&B Operations Catchment Services), Water Resources and Water Resilience Advisors, and Environmental Planning Officers working across England. Participants must have completed the Introduction to Water Resources Planning course and have at least six months of field experience. The course builds on foundational knowledge and prepares staff for advanced responsibilities in water resource planning and appraisal. The Environment Agency anticipates training approximately 70 officers annually through classroom sessions accommodating 20 participants per session. The training supports the EA's water resources planning training provision and organizational capability development. The EA strongly prefers training that is endorsed or accredited by relevant professional bodies to ensure quality and industry recognition.
