Underwater Inspections of Highway Bridges and Retaining Walls - Worcestershire County Council 2026-27

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a contractor to conduct underwater inspections of highway structures across the county for the 2026-27 financial year. The council maintains over 1,400 bridges and retaining walls, many of which cross watercourses of varying sizes. As the Highway Authority, the council has a statutory duty under the Highways Act 1982 to ensure all structures remain safe for public use. This contract requires specialist underwater inspections of structures over watercourses that are too deep or extensive for standard above-water inspection methods. The inspection work must be completed to specification within a 12-month contract period.
