    Brief

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is procuring a principal contractor for a comprehensive refurbishment of Stalybridge Art Gallery and Library as part of the Capital Regeneration Programme. The project includes internal reconfiguration and decoration, installation of a new lift, gallery furniture, a small external extension, and an access ramp. Work will be phased to allow sectional handover, with the gallery scheduled for Phase 1 and library for Phase 2, to meet external deadlines. This procurement was conducted as a mini-competition under the North West Construction Hub Framework. This notice covers the award of the JCT PCSA (Project Casualty Settlement Agreement) contract. Following satisfactory agreement of the PCSA and submission of a Second Stage tender, the award of the Main Contract will be announced in a separate notice. Interested contractors should have experience in refurbishment projects, phased delivery, and managing public building access during construction.
