Project Management and Asset Management Consultancy Services

A school trust seeks an experienced consultancy firm to provide comprehensive project management and asset management support services. The appointed consultant will establish a consistent asset condition dataset across all schools, prioritize maintenance and lifecycle investment works based on evidence, and support strategic estate decision-making and budget planning. Services include preparing scopes of work and design briefs, developing project programmes, managing detailed design, preparing and evaluating tender documents, selecting contractors, drafting contracts using JCT formats, managing risks, liaising with sub-consultants (surveyors, engineers, planners, building control advisers), managing works until handover, chairing meetings, conducting site inspections, monthly valuations, final account preparations, contract administration, and snagging inspections. The consultant will operate independently while remaining accountable to the Estates Manager and communicate regularly through written updates and onsite meetings. Additional survey work may be commissioned including building condition surveys, measured surveys, drainage surveys, and due diligence assessments. Support for DfE grant applications will be available on a day-rate basis. This is a single-supplier appointment with an estimated value of £700,000 excluding VAT (£840,000 including VAT) over an unspecified contract period, with no commitment to particular volumes as projects are subject to DfE funding allocation.
