Road Safety Camera Verification and Testing Services

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority seeks an independent supplier to verify and test road safety cameras and enforcement schemes implemented by the GM Safer Roads Partnership, which includes Greater Manchester Police (GMP). Testing is conducted on an ad-hoc basis as cameras are installed and activated. The supplier must hold UKAS accreditation appropriate for road safety camera testing, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. This accreditation verifies that speed cameras and enforcement technology are accurate, reliable, and admissible as evidence in court proceedings. The supplier will be selected through GMP's exemption process in accordance with GMP Contract Standing Orders. The contract period and end date are determined by the value of the exemption and testing requirements; the contract will conclude when the maximum exemption value is exhausted or on the specified end date, whichever occurs first.
