    Brief

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) is requesting information from suppliers to help define requirements for a new Fire Control Command and Control solution. This RFI is not a formal tender but will inform procurement planning, business case development, and market assessment. CFRS operates 31 stations (primarily staffed by retained firefighters) across Cornwall and manages the control room for Isles of Scilly's 5 remote island stations. The current legacy system is no longer resilient or fit for purpose and must be replaced with a modern, cloud-based solution that improves operational capabilities while reducing dependency on on-site infrastructure. Key Requirements: Suppliers should provide information on product capabilities, implementation timescales, operating models, support arrangements, and indicative costs. The new solution must be resilient, scalable, and support off-site operational capability. A cloud element is essential to address Cornwall's geography and enable remote maintenance. The solution must integrate with existing systems including MAIT, telephony, mobile data terminals, vehicle navigation, and national incident recording systems. Desired Outcomes: - Enhanced operational resilience with off-site backup capability - Improved call handling, mobilisation performance, and operator usability - Better reporting, management information, and auditability - Strong cyber resilience and security accreditation - Improved interoperability with partner organisations and emergency services - Minimal downtime for maintenance - Support for specialist incident management modules (building evacuation, fire survival guidance, marauding terror attacks, cordons) - Value for money over the contract lifecycle The solution should support a smooth transition from the current on-premise system to a cloud-hosted service.
