    Brief

The Environment Agency is conducting market research to identify suppliers capable of providing automated laboratory colorimetric analysers for environmental monitoring and accredited testing. The equipment must perform automated analysis of: nutrients (ammonia, nitrite, orthophosphate, silicate, total oxidised nitrogen), cyanide (total and free), and dissolved organic carbon (DOC). The analysers must handle diverse environmental sample types including freshwaters, saline waters, effluents, leachates, and other aqueous matrices. Key requirements include high automation levels with unattended batch processing, automated dilution, integrated data management software, and compliance with analytical performance criteria to support UKAS-accredited operations. Suppliers should provide complete solutions including equipment, software, installation, commissioning, training, warranty, and technical support. The Authority seeks information on either individual analyser solutions or a single integrated system covering all three analysis types. Up to eight systems may be required under a future contract. This is a preliminary market engagement notice, not a formal procurement exercise.
