Subject Matter Expert for 2D Panelised Construction Safety Assessment

The Department for Education (DfE) is seeking a subject matter expert to provide specialist advice on the structural and fire safety performance of 2D panelised modern methods of construction (MMC). The core objective is to determine whether existing standards, guidance, and best practice developed for traditional construction methods require adaptation or development for 2D panelised systems. Key responsibilities include: - Researching, collating, and reviewing information on 2D panel systems used in low to medium-rise UK buildings - Analysing data provided by DfE - Conducting site visits to active construction projects and completed buildings using this method - Engaging with major contractors who supply and construct 2D panelised buildings - Providing recommendations on regulatory and safety compliance requirements This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) issued for market engagement purposes only.
