    Brief

    St Mary's Catholic Primary School is seeking a Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) registered childcare provider to establish and operate independent wraparound care services on the school site. The successful provider will deliver high-quality childcare for a minimum of 49 weeks per year, including: Breakfast Club (7:30am-8:45am), Nursery-End Provision (11:30am), After School Club (3:15pm-6pm), and Holiday Club (7:30am-6pm during school holidays, excluding specific dates). The provider must operate in partnership with the school while maintaining independent management and policies. All services must reflect the school's Catholic ethos, align with the Curriculum for Wales, and maintain the highest safeguarding standards. Essential requirements include current CIW registration (or credible plan to obtain it), robust safeguarding policies, safer recruitment procedures, designated safeguarding leadership, mandatory staff training, and transparent governance with school representation. The school provides the premises (largely unfurnished) and remains responsible for essential repairs; the provider is responsible for cleaning and must pay £1,000 monthly rental. Providers must demonstrate inclusive practice, respect for Catholic values, clear communication protocols with the school, and willingness to support Non-Maintained Early Entitlement and Flying Start provision. Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 12pm on 2 October 2026.
