Shellfish Sample Processing Services for Marine Institute Ireland

The Marine Institute seeks qualified contractors to provide shellfish sample processing services at their facility in Rinville, Oranmore, Co. Galway. The successful contractor will perform initial sample preparation for laboratory analysis, including: early morning collection of shellfish samples from designated locations (An Post, Tuam Road, Galway or Marine Institute Rinville); data entry of sample information into the Marine Institute database; sample dissection and homogenisation; and timely delivery of prepared tissue samples to the laboratory. All work will be conducted in the Marine Institute's wet laboratory. The contract encompasses three programmes with varying sample volumes and delivery timeframes. Qualified suppliers should be experienced in shellfish sample handling, laboratory procedures, and able to meet early morning collection schedules and strict delivery deadlines.
